Meet Emily, Founder 

Before founding BrandHive, Emily worked with publishers including Constable & Robinson, Little, Brown Book Group and Bonnier Books across literary and commercial adult titles and children's brand authors including Isla Fisher and Sir Chris Hoy.

Since founding BrandHive, Emily has worked with a host of publishers including Transworld, Penguin General, Usborne, Orion, John Murray, Grove Press UK, Scholastic Children's Books, Tramp Press, Bonnier Books, Harper Collins, Saqi Books, Quadrille and Gleam Titles. Emily has created campaigns for non-fiction titles including An Edited Life by YouTube influencer Anna Newton, a memoir/ advice manual from comedian Jo Brand (Born Lippy), the first book to focus solely on Wally Funk, a female pilot who led the way for women in space (Wally Funk's Race for Space by Sue Nelson) and the startling collection of intimate and searingly honest essays, Notes to Self by Emilie Pine. Emily has also created the campaigns for books by Lord Mervyn King, Emilie Pine, Hollie McNish, Tracey Thorn, Mark Lewisohn, Rob Delaney, Lyndsey Addario and John Waters. Emily has worked with a range of both commercial and literary fiction authors including Sarah Waters, Jennifer Egan, Louise Erdrich, Celeste Ng, Ayesha Malik, Cara Hunter, Hanna Jameson, LS Hilton, Louise Pentland, Kelleigh Greenberg-Jephcott, Heather Morris, Candace Bushnell, Chris Whitaker and TM Logan. Emily has also publicised books for some of the most exciting authors writing for the YA and children's market including Isla Fisher, Sir Chris Hoy, Dara O' Briain, Alesha Dixon, Katherine Webber, Catherine Doyle, Amy Huberman, Dr Emily MacDonagh, Omari McQueen, Sir Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson, Stuart Lawrence, Lewis Hancox and Simon James Green.

Emily spent three years at Dentsu Aegis Network, the world’s leading media and digital communications agency, working with global brands including Levi's, Vivienne Westwood and Tesco, delivering high profile campaigns through both traditional and digital channels.

PUBLISHING 

Emily has worked with some of the biggest authors in fiction and nonfiction (adult and children's) publishing and prides herself on her ability to launch careers, build brands, drive sales and engage readers. 

BrandHive can work collaboratively with you to determine the campaign you require, be it:

  • a full PR campaign, spanning 3-6 months.

  • targeted work over an agreed timeframe, following up on pre-existing pitches or providing fresh ideas part way through a campaign;

  • a day or two a month, on a retained basis, to keep the campaign running.
